Cruise Description

7 Night Cruise sailing from Bridgetown to Cartagena aboard Crystal Serenity.

This captivating Caribbean cruise is a perfect pre-holiday break. Departing from Bridgetown and culminating in Cartagena, Colombia, you’ll enjoy stops in the spice-scented island of Grenada, followed by a relaxing sea day before Bonaire, one of the famous ABC islands. A long day in Curacao follows, allowing ample time to visit the brightly colored buildings in the vibrant Pietermaai District. Oranjestad’s fascinating history and dazzling beaches are next, before sailing via a sea day to Cartagena in Colombia.

Highlights of this cruise:

Bridgetown
Barbados is sun-drenched beaches, clear blue-green waters and cool trade winds. Its capital is a UNESCO treasure and inland you’ll see lovingly preserved plantation houses, lush sugar cane fields and fragrant gardens. Reminders of former British rule abound, from cricket fields to Lord Nelson`s statue and the original Trafalgar Square. Don`t miss Bridgetown`s bustling Careenage and the shops on Broad Street, which offer deals on luxury imports from Britain.

Kralendijk
The "B" of Netherlands Antilles` ABC islands (with Aruba and Curaçao), Bonaire is the easternmost of the three. A small island – but at 112 square miles the middle-sized of the ABCs – and generally flat, it features some of the best beaches in the Antilles, huge wildlife reserve areas and year-round sunshine. The charming beachside town of Kralendijk fits snugly into the leeward curve of the island. This capital of Bonaire features the ABC islands` signature pastel-colored buildings and old Dutch homes, reminders of the "home country." Sights include a colorful boat harbor and fish market, historical Fort Orange, the Old Fort museum, jewelry and duty-free shops, plus a pretty main square shaded by mimosa trees and surrounded by brightly colored flowers.

Cartagena
A kaleidoscope of color, rich in cultural heritage and old-world charm. Find Spanish colonial architecture, lively music, and mouth-watering cuisine. She is celebrated as the queen of the Caribbean coast, and given the shimmering lagoons, bays and stunning sea that surround her, it’s easy to see why. Cartagena’s beautifully preserved Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, with winding alleys, vibrant displays of architecture and iconic churches. Explore islands offshore, swim in the crystalline waters, and be sure to sample the ceviche!
